Step-by-step walkthrough
Level 162 rewards vertical merges — column of 3 same-color blocks merges into 1 tall block. Cluster same colors VERTICALLY, not horizontally. When 3 vertical cells align, drop a 4th same-color on top → 4 cells merge into 1 tall block. Then the tall block clears 4 rows when a matching color touches it. Vertical merges are 2x more efficient than horizontal on Level 162.
