Level 3 introduces large square blocks. Here is the placement trick.
Step-by-step walkthrough
Level 3 throws large square blocks at you. Large blocks need a totally flat surface — if there is a 1-cell hole, they won't fit. Before dropping a big block, scan the bottom row for gaps. Fill gaps with small blocks first. Clear row 1 before row 2 fills. If a square block is queued in the preview, prepare the ground one move in advance.

Always prepare a flat surface before a large block drops.
