Step-by-step walkthrough
Level 404 is L-block economy test. L-blocks only for double-gap fills. Cluster 3 L-shapes of same color, drop 4th → 4-way cascade (16 cells reclaimed). Random L-shapes waste 2 cells per drop. On Level 404 you can't afford random drops — every L-block must cascade or fill 2 gaps.

L-blocks for double-gap or cascade. Never random. 16-cell cascades.
